I wanted to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for your exciting "surprise" jump and professional presentation at our recent Leader's Conference in Palm Springs. Your efforts contributed immensely in making this our "best ever" Conference, according to the many accolades we received from our delegates and their spouses as well. We are still "basking in the glow of adulation." Your message on "Exceeding Terminal Velocity" was timely, topical and entertaining. In the words of our attendees, "He was motivational and added humour to his talk. He made me so glad to be among his audience!" Jim, I am delighted that you were such a hit with our top producers and their guests. Your skydive was right on target, and carrying the Equitable Life flag just added to the pride in the outfit! We are still being praised for holding such a wonderful Conference - our thanks to you for making it so memorable.
Your preparation in getting the feel for our group and the patriotic perspective we had in mind was perfectly placed by your presentation. From the minute the Navy band finished and the transition to your red, white and blue arrival from high above Chicago the tone was set for our 40th conference. You kept us up throughout your kick off keynote address and did not let us down. I can tell you the challenge I faced as Chairman of the Board and Conference Chairman were made easy by your spectacular kick off presentation. As you know, the challenges you put forth to my group last year were very specific and caused my sales team to reach for levels of achievement previously thought to be unattainable. They rose to the challenge and CMG closed out 2001 with its best year ever. The message at this year's kickoff meeting in January needed to be presented with a considerable level of finesse to allow me to ask for even more from a team that had gone all out in 2001. Your presentation set the tone to allow me to do just that. Thank you for working closely with me to develop a follow up presentation which effectively engaged the entire organization. I want you to know our sales staff has not only absorbed your "Risk-Taking" message, but have applied it to their individual lifestyles and sales opportunities. Since your training, nearly four months ago, our sales team has increased sales and have "blown-away" the last three months quotas!! Your customized presentation for Northern Technologies, "Exceeding Terminal Velocity", and your ability to look deeper into our situations were much more than we expected. Thank you so much for your wonderful presentation at our Customer Services Rally. I have had comment after comment from all our departments all stating that this was by far one of the best rallies we have ever had, if not the best.
